The Script - June 2015

Hello Theatre Folks,

As the summer vacations draw to a close, so does the city's season of children's plays. So early June is the last chance to take your kids to the theatre and catch some magical shows. AllmyTea's Cycle Wala Michael, Trishla Patel directs Growing Up and it concludes with Joy Fernandes' Chotu Speaking.

For the grown ups there's the NCPA Cheer! Festival which includes a revival of Masque's Black With Equal. Some of our favourites like Under the Chestnut Tree, Theatre Unit's The Doll, Mildly Classics' Gardish Main Taare and Akvarious' The Interview return to Prithvi after a long hiatus.

At QTP, May was a busy time full of shows, workshops and premieres. The Gods of Carnage  opened to rave reviews, Q's workshop for the Under The Tin Roof festival went very well, and the performance of A Peasant of El Salvador, at Blue Frog was very a great success. By comparison, June is a little more relaxed. Quasar & Toral will be heading to the Magnetic North Festival in Canada, and preparations for the Thespo 17 Orientation Meetings pick up speed. Also, Great Texts will be held on the 29th of June. See you there!
