The Script, Edition 5 - May 2013

With the arrival of summer vacations the theatre community brings a host of activities for the kids! That only means Bombay is buzzing with workshops and performances for children – Registrations are on for Junoon’s ‘Arts at Play’ and NCPA’s ‘Summer Fiesta’!

Also, a whole bunch of new children's plays to watch - Akvarious Production's 'Saraswati's Way', Aarambh's 'Tunni Ki Kahani' and Gillo with 'Taoos Chaman Ki Maina' and 'Mister Jeejeebhoy and the Birds'. Not to mention some popular plays as well that return - Aranya's 'Laal Pencil', Gillo's 'Kyu Kyu Ladki', Le Chayim's 'In The Cat House' and Ansh's 'Timeboy'.

The grown-ups also have a lot to look forward to – Saurabh Agarwal's 'Utter Cupidity', Ansh's 'Sir Sir Sarla', Aranya's 'Shakkar Ke Paanch Daane', Akvarious 'The Ugly One' & 'Sometimes', Aarambh's 'Ok, Tata, Bye Bye' and Le Chayim's 'Confessions'.

Lastly, Theatre Professionals will open The Drama School, Mumbai. A school in the heart of South Mumbai, whose aim is to forge a new generation of theatre makers. A school structured on the best practices that exist in drama schools across the world. Look in to our Theatre News Section for more details!!
