Theatre Training

Theatre Professionals: gives actors an opportunity to engage with performance from a completely new perspective.

Seven Stages of Tension with John Bashford
Based on Jacques Lecoq's work on the 'Seven Stages of Tension' the workshop will explore the relationship of the actor to the changing physical dynamic of tension within the body and how it can inform the choices that an actor can make in terms of playing an action within a scene.

The work Lecoq developed was one of constant exploration and development allowing the artist to explore their individual nature in relation to the states of tension and how, in turn, they can be utilised imaginatively to enhance their work and release the scene.

Dates: 7th April 2011
Timings: 10:30am - 6:30pm
