Brought to you by Poor-Box Productions, the company that produced popular plays like The Vagina Monologues, Shirley Valentine, Art, Kissa Yoni Ka, Lift Kara De! and I Am An Emotional Creature, these workshops are for those interested in the theatre arts or those who wish to enhance performance skills in the public and private spheres.
Workshops will also be used towards finding potential collaborators for exciting upcoming productions by Poor-Box. The Intermediate Acting & Directing Workshop (3, 4, 10 & 11 July) will teach participants a variety of advanced acting techniques and will expose students to the intricacies of direction. The core of the workshop will focus on script analysis, creating a character and a holistic approach to the directorial process.
The workshops will be conducted by Mahabanoo Mody-Kotwal (film and theatre producer, director and actor) and Kaizaad Kotwal (film and theatre producer, director and actor).

Monsoon Masti is a treat for water lovers! Welcome the monsoon with loads of whacky water games, theatre improvisations, and lots of fun with water. Come prepared to get wet with games like Apple Bobbing, Water Relays, Exterminator, Water Wars, Bubble Pool, etc. and win cool prizes. The workshop will also focus on theatre improvisations using water as a theme/prop, exploring the legends of our rivers, activist movements, water conservation and pollution, water in mythology, etc. with a prize for the best skit.
Shivani Tibrewala, writer-director-producer, heads the theatre group ‘No License Yet’ which has travelled across several cities with over 300 shows. It has ten plays to its credit, written and directed by Shivani herself and which have all gained critical acclaim. Childrens' Workshops, conducted by No License Yet, not only help mould sensitive and caring young minds into tomorrow’s conscientious citizens, but fire up children’s imaginations, encouraging their creativity and natural expression.
Children between 6-12 years of age are eligible for participation
